Candidate Filing for Irmo Town Council
Candidate filing for the two open Irmo Town Council seats begins on August 1, 2025, at noon and closes on August 15, 2025, at noon.
Prospective candidates can obtain a candidate package in two ways:
In person: Pick up a package at Irmo Town Hall, located at 7300 Woodrow Street.
Online: Visit the South Carolina Election Commission’s website for prospective candidate filing forms.
All completed candidate applications must be signed in front of either a South Carolina Notary Public or the Town of Irmo’s Municipal Clerk, Lisa Hancock, and turned into Irmo Town Hall. Once completed, the municipal clerk will submit all applications to the South Carolina Election Commission.
Early Voting Information
Early voting for the Irmo Town Council election will take place from October 20, 2025, through October 31, 2025.
Lexington County residents can cast their early vote at the Lexington County Board of Voter Registration and Elections office, located at 605 W. Main St., Room 130, Lexington, SC 29072.
Richland County residents can cast their early vote at the Richland County Voter Registration and Elections office, located at 2020 Hampton St., Columbia, SC 29204.
Election Day
Election Day is November 4, 2025, with polling locations open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Specific polling locations for both Richland and Lexington County residents will be announced at a later date.
