It seems like there should also be strips on Lowman Home Barn Rd. too for those who might not be coming down Johnson Marina Rd.

I understand the reasoning with strips only down Johnson Marina Rd. but what about people coming from Lowman Home Barn Rd. or Forrest Shealy Rd.? How noisy could strips be for the Eagles Rest residents?

We’ve made significant improvements at this intersection through the years. DOT officials believe the flashing lights coming in all directions and the rumble strips coming down Johnson Marina Road should make a huge difference for those in the area and visitors.
Rumble strips make a lot of noise and since the majority of traffic is on Johnson Marina Road, they were placed on that road and where there were no homes.
