Earlier this year, I had SCDOT check the timing of the signals out in the Chapin area. No need to beat that dead horse; but, it’s always been a STAND STILL on 76 during rush hour. I got some changes made and I want to be sure now that school is back in session, those changes are working for the most people.

Keep me posted! Remember though, many people travel on 76 during the week (especially with all the highway construction going on) so you may have to wait a minute or two on the side roads; but it’s for the greater good.

For years, I’ve tried to update on roads , infrastructure , and other improvements in our community. You can always use the SEARCH FEATURE (the magnifying glass) on my website to search for information important to you!

It would be great if they could look at the timing on Kennerly and Broad River Road. A lot of traffic is diverting to Kinley/Kennerly to avoid the interstate. And often you have to wait through multiple cycles on the light going down Kennerly.

Thanks, Eric. I’ll ask DOT to look into that next week (they will be busy this week with Tropical Storm Debby)!
