I wanted to update those near the lake who have asked about possibility of getting sidewalks on the main roads leading to the two marinas. Below is what I received Friday from SCDOT. Yes, like most infrastructure improvements, they take much longer than you and I think and definitely much longer than you and I prefer!

Thank you for talking with me today about the two sidewalk projects. I put a brief description of each below. If you need more info please don’t hesitate to call or email.
P042262 : Johnson Marina Rd. Sidewalk
• Install sidewalk from Dutch Fork Rd. to Point de Haven Dr. on the left side of Johnson Marina Rd. The sidewalk is currently expected to run on the same side as the Lighthouse Marina.
• Currently in preliminary design phase. Surveys in process. ROW plans expected early 2025.
P042264 : Marina Rd. Sidewalk
• Install sidewalk from Dutch Ford Rd. to Pebble Shore Rd. on the right side of Marina Rd. The sidewalk is currently expected to run on the same side as the Lake Murray Marina.
• Currently in preliminary design phase. Surveys in process. ROW plans expected early 2025
