CHAPIN LABOR DAY FESTIVAL PARADE
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2013

SPECIAL NOTE: If you know someone around town is who active military, guard, reserve or veteran; please have that individual contact American Legion Post 193 Commander, William Chick at littlechick@msn.com. The Legion and Mayor Stan are wanting to recognize you and have you walk in the parade with them as we celebrate champions from our community!

The Chapin Labor Day Parade 2013 is drawing near, and we want you to be a part of it. The parade begins on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2, at 9:30 AM. Trophies will be awarded to the best decorated parade entry in commercial and non-commercial categories, reflecting this year’s festival theme:

“WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS.” Please incorporate the theme in your float or vehicle.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE DECORATED. Chapin has many champions – teams, groups, organizations, businesses, individuals. We want to recognize them all for their accomplishments, and to recognize Chapin as a community of champions. Entries not decorated will not be allowed to participate. COMMERCIAL entries only are required to pay a $25 entry fee for the parade, payable to Chapin Labor Day Festival.

The parade will begin at the GIS parking lot on US 76 (Chapin Road). The route and other information will be sent to registered entrants in a confirmation letter prior to the parade. We hope that you will join in the fun. If you have questions, please call 917-6756. Please note that confirmation of participation in the parade will be mailed before Aug. 24.
