The Speaker has set two dates for prefiling legislation in the House of Representatives. These dates are Tuesday, December 11, 2012 and Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Prefiled bills must be received in the House Clerk’s STATE HOUSE office no later than 12:00 noon on those dates to be accepted as prefiled on those dates.
Please let me know what you’d like to see the House accomplish next session. This will be the first year of a two-year session so any bill filed this year has a complete two full years to “stay alive” and be considered.
Based on feedback from many of you, I have a few bills that I will prefile this year. Some that did not pass last session but I will continue to push for passage. If not passage, at least committee and floor debate.
