Being an outsider from another state, I think the above is the single most significant issue facing SC.  There appear to be &#039;TOO&quot; many people (corporations/industries) that want things to stay the way they are.  &quot;Progressive&quot; ideas bring ideals like competition.  It sure seems most of the SC &quot;establishment&quot; fears competition.  Therefore, the stagnation.  Competition forces the &quot;old guard&quot; to modernize and compete.  Not sure they are ready for that yet!</description>
